I want to like brie, I really do. Every once in a while I try it again, hoping that my tastes have changed, but I always swallow disappointed. However, due to a moment of starving desperation in London Euston train station, and faced with the prospect of otherwise eating a sandwich with mayonnaise (ugh, the horror!), I discovered one way in which I adore brie: with tomatoes and fresh basil on a baguette.
Behold, the deliciousness.
Ready-made sandwiches can be found all over England. And they're surprisingly tasty! At least, the baguettes are---soft loaf-bread sandwiches are far more prevalent, but I'm not partial to that style, so I've never tried one.
